In attendance at the Nov. 28 event were 19 youth organisations facing off in seven categories. Projects from government, civil society, private sector, and universities were all eligible for awards consideration.

Our Khayelitsha colleagues received the prestigious Gold Award in the category âEncouraging Self-Expression: Sports, Arts & Cultureâ, which includes funding, bursaries and great capacity development opportunities for our Coaches and staff.
The award was shared and celebrated on site in Khayelitsha (pictured above) where it was met with enthusiasm, before traveling on to Grassroot Soccer’s office in Cape Town. KILO!
