Grassroot Soccer established an affiliate site in Lusaka, Zambia in 2005. Grassroot Soccer Zambia (GRS Zambia) is registered as a Zambian local non-profit organization, with a local Board of Directors. Our operations in Zambia are centered around Lusaka and Southern Provinces; GRS also works with several in-country partners to deliver programming country-wide.

GRS Zambia’s partnerships with Young Women Christian Association (YWCA), Zambart, Centre for Infectious Disease Research in Zambia (CIDRZ) and various government line Ministries have strengthened the organisation’s ability to deliver high-quality adolescent health interventions. Through the organisation’s membership in the streetfootballworld and Sport for Social Change networks, GRS has access to platforms for sharing of best practices among sport-for-development organizations across the country and continent.
