Grassroot Soccer (GRS) is proud to be sending a delegation to the 2014 FIFA Football for Hope Festival in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, July 2-11. An official FIFA 2014 World Cup event, the festival gives young leaders the chance to exchange best practices in positive community change, play soccer, and enjoy the FIFA World Cup together. GRS was one of 32 organizations from around the world selected to participate. Six GRS graduates, including a boy and a girl from each GRS affiliate (South Africa, Zambia, and Zimbabwe), were selected for the delegation based on their leadership potential. The delegation also includes four young Grassroot Soccer staff members, who will have the opportunity to take part in leadership workshops.
