Grassroot Soccer Zambia is an adolescent health organization that leverages the power of soccer to equip young people with the life-saving information, services, and mentorship they need to live healthier lives.
About Grassroot Soccer Zambia
Founded in 2005, Grassroot Soccer (GRS) Zambia works across 10 provinces (Central, Copperbelt, Eastern, Lusaka, Luapula, Muchinga, Northern, North- Western, Southern, and Western Provinces) and brings deep experience in youth-led sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) programmes, bridging the gap between +35,000 young people and the health system in Zambia each year.
GRS Zambia partners with a network of Zambian community partners including schools, government and line ministry stakeholders, health clinics, youth clubs, churches, traditional leaders, parent groups, police forces, and social service providers. Additionally, GRS Zambia meaningfully engages young people and their broader communities in all aspects of SKILLZ programmes to create youth-responsive health programmes that effectively address their comprehensive needs.
