Sara Sykes

Sara Sykes leads development at Grassroot Soccer, raising unrestricted and restricted funding through individual and major gifts, events, and corporate and foundation support. Sara has 15+ years of experience in development and partnerships across domestic and global nonprofits including Sandy Hook Promise, the United Nations Foundation, and Women for Women International. Sara holds a BA from the University of Connecticut (Huskies!), MAT from Oglethorpe University, and lives in Connecticut with her husband and two boys. As her side hustle she moonlights as a pro-bono Uber driver for her children to and from various sports, teaches indoor cycling, and plays volleyball.
