Samantha Martinez

Samantha oversees administrative and logistical support for Grassroot Soccer’s Founder & CEO, Global Board of Directors, and other members of GRS’s Senior Management Team. She studied at UC Berkeley for her bachelor’s degree and later pursued a master’s degree from Saint Louis University. While at UC Berkeley, Samantha was part of the women’s soccer team (Go Bears!) and then played professionally in the NWSL with Orlando Pride and North Carolina Courage, as well as internationally for Apollon Limassol and PSV Eindhoven. After her playing career, she transitioned into coaching as a Graduate Assistant at Saint Louis University and then as an Assistant Coach at Saint Mary’s College.

Samantha currently plays beach soccer, competing with the US Women’s Beach Soccer National Team and Cali Beach Soccer Club. Originally from Redondo Beach, CA, she now resides in St. Louis, MO with her husband, son, and two dogs.
