Elizabeth Okoth
Partnerships Program Manager, Kenya
Elizabeth Okoth is Grassroot Soccer’s Partnerships Program Manager based in Kenya. Elizabeth is a public health specialist with a Master of Public Health and a Bachelor of Science degrees. She is a seasoned program manager and a certified Project-DPro Global Trainer.
Elizabeth has expertise in HIV, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), and adolescent and youth programming. She has more than 20 years of experience, having worked in senior management and technical positions at Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, AMREF Health Africa, and Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA). She was also a technical lead for the World Health Organization’s technical assistance mechanism for adolescent SRHR in Kenya’s coast region, and led Kenya’s national adaptation of evidence-based HIV interventions working under the Ministry of Health. Elizabeth is passionate about youth empowerment and started her journey as a youth champion for YWCA and World Council of Churches. She has served in HIV/SRHR technical committees nationally and globally and has published papers focused on adolescents and HIV.
