David Gallagher

Dave Gallagher has spent almost 30 years working in the finance industry, with a focus on derivatives, structured finance and principal investing. He most recently served as Head of Structuring & Investments and Head of the London office at Mercuria Energy, one of the largest independent commodities traders in the world. At Mercuria, he built a global team that developed and executed structured investment strategies for Mercuria in the commodity and natural resource sectors. Prior to joining Mercuria in 2016, Dave was Global Head of Commodities Structuring and Head of EMEA Corporate Commodities Sales at Goldman Sachs in London from 2010-2015. From 1998-2010, he worked in a variety of roles at Deutsche Bank in New York and London, including Global Head of Commodities Structuring, Co-Head of North American Credit Structuring and Head of Structuring for the Global Principal Finance group.

Dave holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Georgetown University and an MBA in Finance & International Business from the NYU Stern School of Business. He has resided in London since 2009 with his wife Noriko and two teenage children.
