Anthony Joseph is known for applying strong analytical reasoning and critical thinking skills to a myriad of business challenges and opportunities. His collaborative and results-oriented approach, combined with his ability to be direct and decisive, make him a valuable member of any leadership team. Anthony’s areas of expertise as a business and legal professional include corporate law, risk management, organizational development, business growth, and strategic planning. For over 20 years, he has served in executive leadership roles in the hospitality industry.
As a member of White Castle’s Executive Council, Anthony is charged with oversight of Legal, Risk Management, Quality Assurance, Technology, Organizational Development, and Corporate Social Responsibility. Additionally, he spearheads the company’s strategic planning process, and is executive sponsor of its diversity and inclusion committee.
Anthony joined White Castle in 2016 following 16 years with Concessions International (CI), an Atlanta-based airport concessions company, which he joined as General Counsel and was subsequently promoted to President. During his tenure at CI, Anthony led the successful expansion of the company’s restaurant portfolio into new regions, the establishment of multiple franchise relationships, and the creation of several joint ventures providing business growth opportunities for disadvantaged business enterprises.
Over the course of his career, Anthony has led crisis management teams handling product recalls, cyber security incidents, and potential negative media coverage. He is a proven change agent dedicated to maximizing operational efficiencies. Motivating and mentoring talented professionals in a wide variety of fields are also among Anthony’s priorities.
Anthony currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Ohio History Center. He has previously served as Chair of the Board of Trustees of Columbus State Community College, the leading institution for workforce development in Central Ohio. Anthony’s industry engagement includes prior service on the board of the National Restaurant Association, and as chair of the Georgia Restaurant Association. Anthony has also demonstrated an ongoing commitment to community engagement and service through his participation on boards of charitable organizations.
Anthony is a graduate of Columbia Law School and Yale College. Between Yale and Columbia, he served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Cameroon, Central Africa.
