Alex Romagnolo

Alex has rejoined Grassroot Soccer to oversee principal gifts, after spending nearly a decade in college athletics. His career includes leadership positions at UC Berkeley, Seattle University, and the University of Notre Dame. Alex was a member of Grassroot Soccer’s Development team from 2011-2014. At UC Berkeley, Alex served as the Assistant Athletic Director for Leadership Gifts, overseeing the university’s Major Gifts team. Prior to Berkeley, he was the Associate AD for Development at Seattle University and oversaw all aspects of Development and Corporate Sponsorships. He was also the sport administrator for the men’s and women’s soccer programs. Alex also spent four years at the University of Notre Dame as the Director of the Rockne Athletics Fund and later leading one of the University’s Major Gift teams.

Alex holds a BA from the University of San Diego, where he was a member of the soccer team. He lives in the Bay Area with his wife, Theresa Romagnolo, who is the Head Women’s Soccer Coach at Saint Mary’s College, and two daughters, Sierra and Giovanna.
