Adam Wood

Senior Coordinator, US Programs

Prior to joining Grassroot Soccer, Adam spent two years with 4ATX Foundation, the nonprofit arm of Austin FC, where he used soccer to teach social-emotional skills, mindfulness and restorative practices to middle schoolers through the Verde Leaders youth development program. Before that, he spent several years as a head coach with Georgetown Force; in both these roles, he witnessed firsthand how soccer can act as a catalyst for connection, joy and lifelong learning.

Adam holds a BA in Communication Studies from Southwestern University, where he played soccer until knee injuries encouraged his early retirement and transition into coaching. Originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico (in the USA), Adam is now based in Seattle, Washington and thrilled to be back among the mountains.
