Grassroot Soccer Unveils New Look

At Grassroot Soccer, we’ve been improving the health of adolescents through the power of the beautiful game for more than two decades.

In that time, we’ve evolved and grown significantly, from an HIV-focused organization to an adolescent health organization helping young people navigate their most pressing health challenges – including HIV, mental health, issues around sexual and reproductive health, gender-based violence, and more.

Today, I’m thrilled to share that Grassroot Soccer has a new look to reflect this evolution and the young people we serve every day.

The new Grassroot Soccer logo embodies how our programs bring soccer and health together. The icon consists of three organic shapes, which together form a dual meaning: an aerial view of a soccer pitch with the goal at the bottom, and an outline of an adolescent including their head, body, and heart.

This icon symbolizes our focus on soccer as a path for health, as well as our commitment to each individual adolescent in the communities we serve.

The green colors of our new branding not only depict a soccer pitch, but also represent life, health, hope, and growth – all of which connect to vital themes in our work.

I want to thank the amazing team at Brevity & Wit, who worked with us to design a logo that embodies our mission, culture, and values.

Grassroot Soccer’s mission isn’t changing. We are still dedicated to leveraging the power of soccer to equip young people with the life-saving information, services, and mentorship they need to live healthier lives.
