Grassroot Soccer has publicly launched a bold and ambitious campaign to catalyze growth and scale its impact around the world. The Play It Forward Campaign will raise $35 million over 5 years to help Grassroot Soccer grow from reaching millions of young people each year with its life-saving adolescent health programs to tens of millions.
The Play It Forward Campaign is built on three key pillars where Grassroot Soccer’s impact is changing the game for the highest-need population in the world (adolescents) in the highest-need areas of the world: mental health, HIV, and young women & girls.
Grassroot Soccer Founder & CEO Tommy Clark and Global Board Member Tom Crotty announced the public launch of the campaign at the 2024 World AIDS Day Gala in New York City, which raised over $1.9 million for Grassroot Soccer. At the time of public launch, Grassroot Soccer has raised $24 million of its $35 million goal.
