James Chimbiya

Based in Malawi, James supports the Global Partnerships team to provide technical assistance and steward programs and partnerships. Before his current role, James held frontline roles within GRS as a SKILLZ Coach and as a Master Coach. James has also worked with other international organizations like Concern Worldwide as a Project Officer implementing a multi-million dollar USAID-funded project, and Progressio! as a Team Leader for a DFID funded ICS Program. Additionally, he served as a Board of Director for the National Youth Council of Malawi, a parastatal institution coordinating youth development in the country. He is currently studying a Social Science Degree with the University of Malawi. In his free time, James enjoys dining in a lone-thought-creative space, watching adventurous movies, and listening to music.
