Grassroot Soccer would like to express our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of Adam Ndlovu, who died in a car accident in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe on Sunday, December 16th. Our thoughts are also with his brother, Peter Ndlovu, who sustained injuries in the accident. Adam and Peter, along with their brother Madinda, are three of the most successful Zimbabwean soccer players of all time, having played for both the Zimbabwean national team and internationally as well,Ā and all three had continued their soccer careers as coaches. The Ndlovu brothers playing roots were with the Highlanders, a team with close ties to Grassroot Soccer and out of which GRS was borne.

“I was devastated to hear of Adam’s death,ā€ said Tommy Clark, Grassroot Soccer founder and CEO. ā€œHaving played with Adam – and spent time with him off the field – in the early 90’s, I can say that he was both an incredibly talented soccer player – and a warm and smart person whose fame didn’t change him in the slightest.”

Grassroot Soccer would also like to express our sympathies for the family and loved ones of Nomclo Tshili, the young woman who was also killed in the accident. We are sorry for this tragic event and our thoughts are with the people of Zimbabwe.
